Igreja anuncia adiamento da Festa do Padroeiro de São Sebastião que seria realizada em janeiro devido à pandemia

A Paróquia de São Sebastião anunciou nesta quarta-feira (23/12) o adiamento da Festa do Padroeiro, que seria realizada de 8 a 20 de janeiro. Apenas a festa social foi adiada (quermesse, show de música católica e sorteio de prêmios). A parte litúrgica, cuja a programação ainda será divulgada, está mantida e seguirá protocolos de saúde. 

“A realidade da pandemia (Covid-19) obrigou-nos a rever toda a nossa vida e a reorganizar todos os projetos que tínhamos em mente. Inclusive também a nossa ação pastoral. Tínhamos o desejo de celebrar no ano de 2021 a Festa do Padroeiro São Sebastião, com uma programação especial. Mas Deus tem os seus caminhos e nós precisamos também acolher sua vontade. Sendo assim, vimos por meio deste comunicar o adiamento da festa, que aconteceria de 8 a 20 de janeiro/2021”, informou o padre Alessandro Henrique Coelho, pároco de São Sebastião. “Mais adiante divulgaremos as informações sobre como será esta celebração, pois dependerá de toda a situação da pandemia e das orientações que nos chegarão do Comitê Municipal de Saúde que está gerindo todo o processo em nosso município. Agradecemos a compreensão e continuemos em oração por São Sebastião que é o intercessor contra epidemia, fome e a guerra. Deus vos abençoe”, complementou o padre. 

A Festa do Padroeiro é tradicionamente realizada no mês de janeiro, na Praça de Eventos da Rua da Praia. Assim como a festa, os shows de verão realizados pela prefeitura no mesmo local também foram cancelados.
