Vacinação na Ilha Grande: Governo do Estado e Prefeitura de Angra dos Reis realizam imunização em massa contra a Covid-19

Governador Cláudio Castro esteve na praia de Abraão para início da vacinação; objetivo, além imunizar a população e promover o turismo consciente, é realizar estudo epidemiológico com moradores


O governador Cláudio Castro participou, no final da manhã deste sábado (10), na praia de Abraão, do início do projeto Vacinação Ilha Grande, que irá imunizar toda a população local maior de 18 anos. O prefeito de Angra dos Reis, Fernando Jordão, também esteve presente na ação

Parceria entre o Governo do Estado, por meio da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde (SES), e a Prefeitura de Angra dos Reis, a vacinação faz parte de estudo epidemiológico para monitorar a imunização em massa. O objetivo é acompanhar, durante um mês, os efeitos adversos e a resposta da imunização na população, além de comparar a frequência de casos de covid-19 com outras regiões da cidade.

– Essa vacinação em massa  demonstra que queremos toda a população do estado vacinada para que nossa vida volte ao normal. Aqui, além de proteger todos, também estamos incentivando o turismo consciente. Precisamos vacinar, tomar a segunda dose e não escolher vacina – afirmou Cláudio Castro.

A expectativa é que sejam vacinadas 2.500 pessoas com 18 anos ou mais e que ainda não tenham recebido a primeira dose contra a Covid-19. Elas serão imunizadas com a vacina Janssen, de dose única.

– A vacinação de toda a população com 18 anos ou mais nos permitirá avaliar os efeitos, assim como a resposta imunológica da população. Em 30 dias realizaremos teste sorológico nas pessoas imunizadas para fazermos avaliação do cenário – explicou o secretário de Estado de Saúde, Alexandre Chieppe.

Para o prefeito de Angra, Fernando Jordão, é um marco para o Estado do Rio.

– Vacinar todas as pessoas daqui representa a proteção da população e o retorno da economia. Essa iniciativa também repercute no Brasil e no mundo, já que a ilha é patrimônio mundial da Unesco – disse.
